Muhammad Anas Tarakji, M.D., is one of Lovelace Cancer Care's Hematology/Oncology providers, who specializes in the examination, diagnosis and treatment of blood diseases and cancers including, breast, lung, colon cancers, as well as myeloma, leukemia and lymphoma. He is trained in both medical Oncology and benign and malignant Hematology. Dr. Tarakji believes all patients should have access to timely and thoughtful cancer care.
Dr Tarakji aims to provide the latest and highest quality cancer treatments, tailored to each patient, while providing equally compassionate care to their families.
Dr. Tarakji received his medical degree at Aleppo University, School of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria. Dr. Tarakji completed his internship at University of Rochester/Unity Health, Rochester, New York. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Indiana University, Indianapolis, Indiana. He completed a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Tarakji is board certified in Internal Medicine, Oncology and Hematology.
Dr. Tarakji is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Clinic Oncology (ASCO), and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).
